I painted this after visiting Budapest, hungary on a summer trip. a few years later i ended up moving to budapest to teach english at a high school for a year. Budapest is a richly beautiful place.

I painted the main scene which is from a Monet. Then I had over 300 elementary students each paint a small canvas circle which I then applied to the canvas to fit into the painting. I had fun going into each classroom teaching them about impressionism and brush stroke. Students were in grades kindergarten to 5th grades.
